Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, York University

The Department of Biology invites applications for a three-year alternate stream contractually limited appointment to commence July 1, 2015 and ending June 30, 2018. The successful candidate must have a PhD in the Biological Sciences or a related scientific field, have demonstrated experience in teaching undergraduate Biology courses (especially large first and second year courses), and have both expertise and teaching experience in the general area of microbiology. Applicants should be interested in a position that is teaching-centred, with strong motivation, dedication to and interest in innovative, effective evidence-based approaches to teaching science at the university level. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, teaching and administering Biology courses at the undergraduate level, and may be called upon to assist with other aspects of undergraduate program administration.
