Department of History

The Department of History, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University, invites applications from qualified candidates for a one-year Sessional Assistant Professor position in British History (1500-1820) to commence July 1, 2015. Required qualifications include a completed PhD in History and an ongoing program of scholarly research in British history. Applicants must demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in teaching and in scholarly research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a wide range of undergraduate courses in British history, including upper-level undergraduate courses. The appointment carries a teaching load of three full courses or the equivalent.
