Department of Social Science
The Department of Social Science, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, York University, invites applications from qualified candidates for a one-year Sessional Assistant Professor position in the Criminology program. This position will commence July 1, 2015. The successful candidate must hold a PhD in Criminology or a related field; show promise of excellence in research and publication in the field of Criminology; and demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in undergraduate teaching including an ability to teach in an interdisciplinary program. While the area of specialization is open, teaching experience in research methods and policing is preferred. The appointment carries a teaching load of three full courses or the equivalent.
