Faculty of Education
The Faculty of Education invites applications for a two-year Contractually Limited Appointment (teaching) position in Mathematics Education at the rank of Sessional Assistant Lecturer to commence July 1, 2015. The successful candidate will teach courses and develop curriculum in both undergraduate (including methods courses) and graduate mathematics education in the Faculty of Education and be able to participate in professional development programming. Contributions that build upon the Faculty's ongoing collaborations in the area of mathematics education within the University and beyond will be an asset.
Applicants should have completed a doctorate, provide documented evidence of excellence in teaching, and have knowledge of mathematics content and pedagogy as reflected in the Ontario curriculum. A record of publishing in academic or professional journals, or/and speaking at professional or academic conferences, in the area of mathematics education, is highly desirable.
