Tenure-Track Appointment
Applied Human Immunology of Exercise and Health
Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Applied Human Immunology of Exercise and Health at the rank of Assistant Professor. Successful applicants will have research expertise in immunology, inflammation or infectious disease as it pertains to human health. A PhD (focused in Immunology or closely related subject) is required. Candidates should show excellence or promise of excellence in teaching and in scholarly research and publication. Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in the field of exercise immunology, at cellular and/or whole body levels. Interest in population and global disease burden is an asset. A previous and promising publication record in refereed journals is essential and post-doctoral experience is also considered an asset. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to develop a productive research program supported by external funding. The starting date is July 1, 2016. Duties will include undergraduate and graduate teaching in Kinesiology and Health Science and the Global Health program, and graduate student supervision (MSc and PhD) in Kinesiology and Health Science. Candidates must be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
