School of Administrative Studies

The School of Administrative Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time tenure-stream Assistant Professor position in the area of Accounting, to commence July 1, 2016. Applications are welcome from all accounting disciplines. A PhD (or near completion) in Accounting or in a related discipline is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in research, publications, and undergraduate teaching at all levels. Preference will be given to a candidate who has a Canadian professional designation in accounting, has experience teaching with cases, and is involved with the profession.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Ability to teach in multiple areas of accounting would be deemed an asset. The successful candidate must be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

The deadline for applications is October 30, 2015. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
