Department of Communication Studies
The Department of Communication Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University, invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Global Communication and International Relations and/or New Media Policy at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July 1, 2016. The successful applicant will also have the ability to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The successful candidate will have a completed PhD in Communication Studies or in a related discipline. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in research, publications, and undergraduate teaching at all levels. In addition, applicants should have the breadth and versatility to teach a variety of undergraduate courses. The successful candidate will be prepared to participate actively in the Joint Graduate Program in Communication and Culture and be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
The deadline for applications is October 30, 2015. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
