Department of Economics

The Department of Economics, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University, invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Empirical Microeconomics at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July 1, 2016. The successful applicant will have the ability to teach Economics at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The successful candidate will have a completed PhD in Economics, and an active research agenda in empirical microeconomics using panel and cross section data. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in research, publications, and undergraduate teaching at all levels. In addition, applicants should have the breadth and versatility to teach a variety of undergraduate courses. The successful candidate will be prepared to participate actively in the Graduate Program in Economics and be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

The deadline for applications is October 30, 2015. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
