Applications are invited for a tenure-track appointment in Pure or Applied Mathematics at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics to commence July 1, 2016, subject to budgetary approval. Applications in all areas of pure and applied mathematics will be considered. The successful candidate must have a PhD in Mathematics, a proven record of independent research excellence, and evidence of potential for superior teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an excellent and innovative research program, secure and maintain external peer-reviewed research funding, contribute to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as to graduate student supervision and be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
