The Department of Communication Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University, invites applications from qualified candidates for a one-year contractually limited appointment at the level of Sessional Assistant Professor to teach in the area of Youth Media/Culture and Research Methods (sample course outlines available on request). Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant discipline, demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in teaching and have a record of recent scholarly research in a relevant area. Candidates must be able to teach effectively in large-lecture formats. The appointment carries a teaching load of three full courses or the equivalent.
