Applications are invited for a three-year contractually limited appointment in Health Policy and Global Health at the level of Sessional Assistant Professor. Applicants should specialize in the area of Health Policy with a focus on global health and health equity and have an understanding of the Canadian health system. Expertise in health and human rights, health care ethics, or global health governance would be an asset.

Candidates must have a completed PhD in Health Policy, Development Studies, Public Health or a related social science field with a strong global health policy and equity focus. Candidates will demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in scholarly research and teaching. The position may involve graduate teaching and supervision in addition to undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the further development of the Global Health curriculum, and be expected to fully participate in a highly productive and collegial academic community. Successful experience in teaching in relevant health-related fields is preferable.

The start date is July 1, 2016. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
