Applications are invited for a three year contractually limited appointment in Health Management and Global Health at the level of Sessional Assistant Professor or Sessional Associate Professor in the School of Health Policy & Management. Applicants should specialize in the area of Health Management with a focus on both Canadian and Global Health. Expertise in health management, quality improvement or health systems would be an asset.
Candidates must have a completed PhD in Health Management or a related Management/Social Science/Health Science field with a strong global health and equity focus. Candidates will demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in scholarly research and teaching, and teaching and learning innovations. Experience in implementing community based learning for undergraduate management students would be an asset. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in further development and teaching of the BA/BSc Global Health Curriculum, teach in the BHS program as well as play a key leadership role in the development of an applied Masters in Global Health. The position may involve graduate teaching and supervision in addition to undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to fully participate in a highly productive and collegial academic community.
The start date is July 1, 2016. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
