Lassonde School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, York University

We are seeking an innovative and inspiring engineering educator for an alternate-stream (teaching-focused) tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Lassonde School of Engineering, York University. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be in teaching and pedagogy, particularly with regard to undergraduate courses, laboratory instruction and student projects. S/he will also contribute to supporting students' learning through pedagogical innovation, outcomes-based student assessment, interactions with industry, learning technologies, and collegial governance of the program.

The successful candidate must provide documented evidence of excellence or promise of excellence in teaching and a commitment to innovative pedagogy, with the potential for programmatic leadership appropriate to the level of their appointment. S/he must have a first degree (BASc, BEng or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. The candidate must be eligible for licensure as a Professional Engineer in Ontario. Evidence of achievement in accreditation and curriculum quality assurance processes will be an asset.
