Applications are invited for a full-time tenure-track position in Psychology of Physical Activity/Exercise and Aging at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July 1, 2017. Applicants will have expertise in psychology of physical activity throughout the aging process, including understanding the relationship between aging and physical activity, and psychological antecedents and consequences of physical activity among aging populations. Applicants will have research expertise focused on promoting positive outcomes, such as disease prevention, psychosocial well-being and/or mental health, through traditional and/or technology-based practices. Applicants must have a PhD with post-doctoral experience being an asset. Applicants must show excellence or promise of excellence in teaching and scholarly research and be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Duties will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, graduate student supervision (MA, MSc and/or PhD) and the development of an independent program of research as evidenced by a solid publication record in refereed journals and promise of external funding. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is an asset.
