The Faculty of Education invites applications for an Alternate Stream (teaching focused) position in Technological Education at the rank of Assistant Lecturer. The successful applicant for this tenure track position will be expected to teach specific courses in, and provide leadership to, the Bachelor of Education in Technological Education. The incumbent may also contribute to the development of new B.Ed. and M.Ed. specializations in New Learning Technologies at the future Markham campus. Supervision of graduate students may be available for qualified candidates.

A doctorate in education or related field, professional work experience in one of the ten broad-based technologies outlined in the technological education curriculum, and teaching experience in the area of technological education are required for the position. The successful applicant must be able to provide documented evidence of excellence in teaching and demonstrate commitment to pedagogy with the potential for programmatic leadership. Teaching experience in K to 12 schools (or equivalent), and a record of publishing in professional journals, speaking at professional conferences, and offering workshops are highly desirable.

The projected start date for this position is July 1st, 2017. Salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
