The Department of Psychology at York University (http://psyc.info.yorku.ca/) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Computational Neuroscience to commence July 1, 2017, subject to budgetary approval. Candidates with a PhD in Psychology or related disciplines and a strong program of research in Computational Neuroscience as it relates to Brain, Behaviour and Cognitive Sciences are encouraged to apply. Expertise in integration and analytics of big data and diverse forms of data would be considered an asset. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence both in scholarly research and in teaching. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is an asset. The position will involve teaching and research training in the Psychology department at both undergraduate and graduate levels including supervision of graduate students and honours undergraduate students.
Candidates must provide evidence of an ability to work collaboratively and will be expected to contribute through service to the department, faculty and university. The successful candidate must be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
