Applications are invited for a full-time tenure-track position in Muscle Physiology of Sport Performance and Rehabilitation at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July 1, 2018.

A PhD in a field focused on applied muscle physiology pertaining to sport performance, fitness, clinical athletic therapy and/or rehabilitation is required with post-doctoral experience considered to be strongly advantageous. An emphasis on physical training/fitness programs, practices and assessments that relate to muscle endurance, strength and power is preferred. Expertise in translational approaches will be viewed as an asset.

Applicants must show excellence in scholarly research as evidenced by a previous publication record in peer-reviewed journals and promise of securing external funding, and be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Applicants must also show excellence or promise of excellence in teaching. Duties will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, graduate student supervision Masters and/or PhD) and the development of an independent and externally-funded program of research. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is an asset.
