The School of Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, York University, invites applications for a tenure-stream position, at the rank of Assistant Professor, in the field of Sexuality Studies to commence July 1, 2018.

Required qualifications include a completed PhD with specialization in Sexuality Studies. The applicant must also have an ongoing program of research in the area of Sexuality Studies. All areas of expertise are open, but specific attention will be given to specialization in Indigeneity and/or Transnationalism and/or Critical Disability Studies. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in scholarly research, teaching and service, and have publications appropriate to their stage of career. The successful candidate will be expected to teach interdisciplinary courses in their own area of expertise as well as to contribute to the program by teaching in some of our compulsory courses in the School's Sexuality Studies Program (for example, Introduction to Sexuality Studies). The successful candidate must be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is an asset.
