Operations Management and Information Systems (OMIS)

The Schulich School of Business is seeking an outstanding scholar and educator in Operations Management and Information Systems for a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, effective July 1, 2018. Applicants should have demonstrated (or the potential for) outstanding research and teaching in at least one of the sub-areas, namely, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Operations Management or Information Systems.

Candidates will have a PhD in Operations Management, Information Systems or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to effectively communicate with both undergraduate and senior managerial audiences in graduate and executive education settings; supervise PhD students; teach in either the Masters of Business Analytics Program or the proposed Masters of Supply Chain Management Program, as well as the BBA, MBA and PhD Programs; have demonstrated outstanding research and scholarship (or potential thereof), evidenced by publications or late-round revisions in relevant top-tier journals, and preferably those journals in the Financial Times 50 group; demonstrable evidence of teaching effectiveness, with curriculum development as an asset; and be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is an asset.
