Gordon Charlton Shaw Professorship in Management Science
The Schulich School of Business is seeking an outstanding scholar for the endowed position of Gordon Charlton Shaw Professor in Management Science at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, effective July 1, 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter. Applications are invited from candidates with demonstrated outstanding research and teaching in at least one of the sub-areas, namely, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Operations Management or Information Systems.
Candidates will have a PhD in Operations Management, Information Systems or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to effectively communicate with both undergraduate and senior managerial audiences in graduate and executive education settings; supervise PhD students; teach in either the Masters of Business Analytics Program or the proposed Masters of Supply Chain Management Program, as well as in the BBA, MBA and PhD Programs; have demonstrated outstanding research and scholarship evidenced by publications in relevant top-tier journals, and preferably those journals in the Financial Times 50 group; demonstrable evidence of teaching effectiveness and experience in curriculum development; and be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is an asset.
