Professorial Tenure-Stream Appointment

Applications are invited from highly qualified individuals for one (1) full-time Professorial Stream tenure-track position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor commencing July 1, 2018. Applications are invited from highly qualified nurses with expertise in Health Care Services & Systems. Responsibilities will include: teaching and supervision in the undergraduate and/or graduate programs (PhD program commencing in September 2018); conducting a program of research; and academic service.

The successful candidate must be registered in good standing or eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario; and have a baccalaureate degree in Nursing, a Master's degree in Nursing or a related field (Nursing preferred), and a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Nursing or a related field (PhD in Nursing preferred). Candidates must demonstrate alignment with the School of Nursing's commitment to human science and to multiple perspectives in nursing discourses, knowledge, and research; and demonstrate alignment with the School of Nursing's commitment to social justice and health promotion. A scholar at the level of Associate or Full Professor has an established program of research, graduate supervisory experience, substantive research funding, and a strong publication record. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in scholarly research and teaching and be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Experience with teaching in university undergraduate and graduate nursing programs; in technology-enhanced and experiential learning environments; and, in academic governance at the unit, faculty, and/or university level are viewed as assets.
