Marketing, School of Administrative Studies
The School of Administrative Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University invites applications from qualified candidates for a tenure-stream Assistant Professor position in the area of Marketing, to commence July 1, 2019. The position will be based at the York University Markham Centre Campus when the new campus is operational (expected in Fall 2021). Between July 1, 2019 and the opening of the Markham campus, the appointee will assume a combination of teaching responsibilities at York's Keele campus and leadership responsibilities for the Markham campus.
Candidates must hold a PhD (or be near completion) in Marketing. Preference will be given to those candidates with a strong research background in marketing/data analytics, artificial intelligence, big data, social media, digital communications, digital marketing strategy, and brand strategy in digital environments. The successful candidate will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in teaching and in scholarly research, and to have produced publications appropriate to their stage of career. The successful candidate will be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and will be expected to take a leadership role in the development and delivery of new programs at York University's upcoming campus in Markham. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is an asset.
