The Faculty of Education is one of the leading faculties of education in Canada. Through our research, scholarship and innovative programs we enact our mission of reinventing education for a diverse, complex world.

The Faculty of Education invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Global Migration and Education at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will contribute to our growing Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies, our unique Master of Leadership and Community Engagement program, teach courses within other programs in the Faculty, and supervise graduate students. Aligned with the priorities of the Faculty of Education's Strategic Plan ( http://edu.yorku.ca/files/2017/08/EDU-StrategicPlan2017.pdf ), the successful candidate's work will speak to the role and place of educational policy and practice in responding, internationally, nationally and intra-nationally, to conditions which result in migrant, refugee or asylum-seeking status. The projected start date for this position is July 1, 2019. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

A doctorate in Education or a related field is required. Candidates must present evidence of their abilities to: establish a strong program of scholarly research; demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence and leadership in undergraduate and graduate teaching. They will also have publications appropriate to their stage of career and must be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
