This position is a tenure-stream position at open rank - Assistant, Associate or Full Professor - depending on experience. In your application please indicate for which rank you wish to be considered.
You have proven strong research capability or creative, and scholarship-based, pedagogy in broad areas of computer security such as:
• OS security and malware analysis
• software security
• computer and network forensics
• network security
• penetration testing and ethical hacking
• mobile security
• cloud security
• IoT security
• user privacy
• trust management
• cryptography
You have a PhD in Computer Science or related field and can start July 1, 2019.
You will receive start-up funding, and a reduced undergraduate teaching load in the first year. We are a creative and forward-thinking school, building a diverse faculty who can mentor our diverse student body. Security is a priority area for the Department. We support our new faculty in innovative ways. As a new faculty member, and depending on the position, you will:
• demonstrate excellence, or promise of excellence, in teaching and scholarly research;
• teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels of our Computer Security program;
• engage in curricular scholarship and innovation;
• develop an externally funded research program;
• supervise graduate students;
• be eligible to join our Faculty of Graduate Studies;
• participate in new or existing partnerships with industry and/or other public institutions;
• demonstrate leadership or potential for leadership.
