The Department of Economics, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University, invites applications for two teaching stream tenure-track positions in Microeconomics at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream to commence July 1, 2019.

The successful candidate will have a completed PhD in Economics, must have some university-level teaching experience, and demonstrate excellence or clear potential in teaching and a strong commitment to pedagogy, student success, and pedagogical innovation. In addition, applicants should have the breadth and versatility to teach a variety of undergraduate courses at different levels, most importantly introductory courses in microeconomics and upper-level courses in financial economics. A record of pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education, large classroom engagement, technology enhanced learning, and community-based learning is preferred as is experience with curriculum development and universal design. The successful candidate is also expected to provide evidence of service or promise of service in administrative and committee work.
