The Department of Sociology, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies invites applications for a tenure-track professorial-stream appointment in Quantitative Research Methods at the Assistant Professor level, to commence July 1, 2019. Applicants are required to have knowledge of new and emerging modes of data collection and analysis, and advanced skills in linear models. The candidate's own research perspective should be critically engaged and theoretically informed, and have a focus in a substantive area, such as social inequality.
The successful candidate will show excellence or promise of excellence in scholarly research, teaching and service. The candidate will be expected to offer a range of courses as part of both the undergraduate and graduate curricula and eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. A PhD in Sociology or related field is required. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is preferred.
