The Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science at York University invites applications for a tenure-track professorial-stream position in Computational Chemistry at the Assistant Professor level to commence July 1, 2019.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry or an equivalent discipline, postdoctoral experience in relevant areas, an outstanding research record (appropriate to his/her stage of career), and must be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. We seek candidates who demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in teaching and scholarly research. Candidates with an interest in computational method development and application of computational chemistry to areas that align with one or more of the existing research strengths in the Department of Chemistry are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an outstanding and innovative research program, secure and maintain external peer-reviewed research funding, recruit and supervise graduate students, and contribute to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Pedagogical innovation in high-priority areas such as experiential education and technology-enhanced learning is preferred.
