The Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science invites applications for a tenure-track professorial-stream appointment in Environmental/Analytical Chemistry at the Assistant Professor level, to commence July 1, 2019. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.

The Department seeks candidates who have demonstrated excellence or promise of excellence in research, teaching and scholarly activity. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry, post-doctoral experience, relevant expertise in Environmental Chemistry, an outstanding research record (appropriate to his/her stage of career) and will be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an innovative externally-funded research program, recruit and supervise graduate students and contribute to pedagogical innovation while teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is preferred.
