The Global Health Program and the Faculty of Health, York University invites applications for a tenure-track professorial-stream appointment in Program Evaluation at the rank of Assistant Professor, to commence July 1, 2019.

Applicants should have expertise in the evaluation of complex programs and policies, particularly as they relate to global health and global health equity. Applicants should have a strong understanding of complexity science in the context of program and policy evaluation and interest in impact and process evaluation of global health initiatives, global health agencies, or humanitarian assistance across national health systems. Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or Ph.D. near completion by the start of the appointment) with a focus on complex program evaluation. Professional experience in program evaluation would be an asset.

Candidates must demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in scholarly research, university teaching and graduate supervision. They will be expected to develop and sustain a productive, innovative, and high-quality program of research related to their expertise. The successful candidate must be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The position will involve graduate teaching and supervision, as well as undergraduate teaching. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is preferred.

York University is rapidly expanding its role in global health. It offers the first dedicated global health program in Canada at the undergraduate level and is developing a highly distinctive interdisciplinary graduate program in global health. The University is home to the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research, the Global Strategy Lab, and hosts the CIHR Institute for Population and Public Health.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
