The Department of Communication Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University, invites applications from qualified candidates for a one-year professorial contractually limited appointment at the level of Sessional Assistant Professor to commence July 1, 2019. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantitative and qualitative methods and field placement courses. They will have a PhD in Communication Studies or a cognate field and demonstrable excellence, or promise of excellence, in teaching and scholarly research, and must be able to teach undergraduate courses in a variety of fields. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is preferred. The appointment will carry a teaching load of three full courses or the equivalent.

The deadline for applications is March 1, 2019. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
