Contractually Limited Teaching Stream Appointment
Applications are invited from highly qualified individuals for one (1) one-year Contractually Limited Appointment (CLA) at the rank of Sessional Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream commencing September 1, 2019, subject to budgetary approval. Responsibilities for this position will include teaching in the undergraduate program and academic service. Applications are invited from nurses with expertise in the following area: Client Centred Community Care in the Context of Primary Health Care.
The successful candidate must be registered in good standing or eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold a Master's degree in a relevant area (Master's in Nursing preferred). Candidates must demonstrate alignment with the School of Nursing's commitment to human science and to multiple perspectives in nursing discourses, knowledge, and research; and demonstrate alignment with the School of Nursing's commitment to social justice and health promotion. Successful candidates must have at least 5 years' experience in the declared area of expertise, and recent experience teaching in university undergraduate programs. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in teaching.
Experience in experiential learning and/or relevant environments is viewed as an important asset. Possession of a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Nursing or a related field, and experience on professional committees or governance bodies, are viewed as assets.
