School of Administrative Studies

The School of Administrative Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University, invites applications from qualified candidates for a two-year professorial contractually limited appointment at the level of Sessional Assistant Professor in Management (Business Ethics) to commence January 1, 2020.

A PhD (or equivalent) in Management or closely related field is required. Candidates must demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in teaching and scholarly research and a strong commitment to pedagogical development. An active research stream in the area of Business Ethics or closely related field would be an asset. Applicants should specialize in one or more of the following areas: Business Ethics, Business and Society, Corporate Social Responsibility, Stakeholder Management, Sustainability.

The successful candidate will serve as course-coordinator for the undergraduate course in "Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility." Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is preferred. The appointment will carry a teaching load of three full courses or the equivalent.
