The Economics Area of the Schulich School of Business, York University invites applications for a tenure-track professorial stream appointment in Behavioural Economics at the Assistant Professor level, to commence July 1, 2020. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.

A Ph.D. or a Ph.D. defense scheduled before July 1, 2020 in Economics or a related field is required.

Preference will be given to candidates who are able to teach effectively in the BBA and MBA Programs and communicate with managerial audiences. They should also have the ability to teach microeconomics and macroeconomics in a Business School setting. The successful candidate must be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experimental methods and field research is preferred. Evidence of teaching effectiveness is demonstrated through positive teacher evaluations. Experience in curriculum development is an asset.

We are specifically looking for candidates who conduct research in behavioural economics using advanced methods in experimental or field research. Outstanding and ongoing program of academic research is demonstrated by publishing in top‐tier economic, behavioural or experimental economics journals commensurate with length of academic career. Preference will be given to candidates that have proven in their published research that they can work with organizations and/or provide insights on public policy.
