Purpose:
YUELI is a revenue-generating unit where efficient delivery of all programs and
services is essential. This position, which reports to the Financial Officer,
aims to provide logistics support to the whole of YUELI. Logistics and
procurement planning have a direct impact on the financial results of the Unit.
This support includes program administration and YUELI logistics needs,
such us teaching material acquisition and preparation for different programs,
follows up and administers negotiated terms with vendors, purchasing of
furniture for classrooms and YUELI offices, logistics and resource planning,
overseeing facilities maintenance and classroom space according to
enrolment volumes, keeping inventory and purchases of office supplies, travel
arrangements for YUELI personnel, and organization of different functions and
proper support to other services provided by YUELI. |

Education:
University degree required in the areas of business administration, Procurement
or Logistics. |
|
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the area of Logistics and procurement.
Experience in providing support with supplier negotiations, cost analysis, and
budget administration. Work experience in an education institution required, and
experience in working with instructors and exposure in international students is
an asset. |

Skills:
Procurement and logistics planning, used to work with budgets and cost
analysis, great negotiations skills, ability to exercise good judgment and
initiative in dealing with students and instructors; tact and diplomacy in order
to communicate with those for whom English is a second language; effective
oral and written communication skills in order to be able to deal courteously
and effectively with people at all levels of the organization and the public;
strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-
task. Able to work cooperatively and independently under pressure of time
and volume.
E-mail, word-processing, Access database and Excel skills all at
intermediate level, familiarity with York systems an asset. |
