Purpose:
To provide excellent front-line service to the First-year academic programs. The incumbent will also provide secretarial/clerical support for the operations of the undergraduate programs and to assigned faculty members. |

Education:
High School Graduation with some post-secondary education including office procedures and database applications. |
|
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years’ direct experience including providing front-line service providing information regarding course/program requirements and procedures, scheduling administrative processes such as organizing and distributing information, maintaining academic enrolment, record keeping and secretarial duties in an academic environment. |

Skills:
Typing 40-45 words per minute, accuracy essential, knowledge of an on-line computerized record system, demonstrated skills/ability in the following areas: ability to use word-processing, spreadsheet, website, web-based software at an intermediate level such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, Moodle, Acrobat Reader; effective customer service skills, effective oral and written communication to relay information accurately, ability to exercise tact and diplomacy and discretion with dealing with others; abilty to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential information with discretion; ability to work independently and as a team member; effective organizational skills including setting priorities and working under pressure of high volume and constant interruptions. Ability to conduct internet searches and use email software applications. |
