Purpose:
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A TEMPORARY CONTRACT. To process payroll and personnel forms for accurate and timely salary payments, budget expenditures, for all group, union affiliations at York.
 
Education:
High school graduation or equivalent.
 
Experience:
2 years’ recent full cycle payroll processing experience in a high volume environment, including calculations and processing on-line manual cheques, Record of Employment and year-end processing of amendments to T4/T4A using a computerized system; experience with PeopleSoft and CPA Level 1 would be an asset.
 
Skills:
Typing 35-40 w.p.m., accuracy essential; on-line data entry skills preferred; wordprocessing preferred or willingness to learn; demonstrated skill, ability in the following areas: basic bookkeeping; good organizational skills; working accurately with figures; attending accurately to detail under pressure of high volume; setting priorities and meeting deadlines; maintaining confidentiality; working quickly and accurately with a calculator; good oral and written communication skills.
