Duration: Temporary Full-Time
Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, flexible depending on operational needs (evening and weekend work may be required).
Position Start Date: November 15, 2012   Position End Date: August 15, 2013
 
Purpose:
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A TEMPORARY CONTRACT. The Event Administrator contributes to the success of Fine Arts Performance Facilities by attending to the administrative aspects of FAPF operations. This includes responsibility for coordinating the FAPF office, event staffing and general event administration.
 
Education:
High school diploma with some specialized post secondary training in a related field (HR, business administration or similar).
 
Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ recent related experience (including event administration, temporary staffing and general office administration), in an institutional environment.
 
Skills:
DEMONSTRATED SKILLS INCLUDING: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Planning and coordination of activities. Ability to work effectively under pressure of deadlines and to shift with changing priorities. Ability to multi-task while attending accurately to details. Superior interpersonal skills with ability to engage professionally and respectfully with people at all levels including senior administrators, faculty, students, staff, clients and prospective clients. Excellent organization skills. Ability to exercise good judgment, maintain confidentiality and exercise initiative. DEMONSTRATED COMPUTER SKILLS INCLUDING:Advanced wordprocessing (MS Word), advanced spreadsheets (MS Excel) and electronic calendaring, scheduling and email (Lotus Notes).
