Purpose:
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A TEMPORARY CONTRACT.This position
coordinates production aspects of the Department of Theatre
presentations and unmounted shows. Activities associated with the
coordination include but are not limited to providing specialized
logistical and creative support to Theatre courses, faculty members,
undergraduate students and graduates students in the Department of
Theatre. |

Education:
College diploma with specialization in Theatre Production. BFA in
Theatre Production would be considered and asset. |
|
Experience:
2 years related experience in professional live performance production. |
|
Skills:
DEMONSTRATED SKILLS INCLUDING:
Strong planning and organizational skills including the ability to
direct and communicate with diverse groups of people.
Ability to work independently and set priorities.
Proven ability to plan and administer a budget.
Knowledge of all aspects of performance production including
production management, stage management, technical direction,
including stage carpentry, properties, scenic painting, rigging,
lighting, sound, automation, special effects, costume and scenery
construction, publicity.
Ability to accurately interpret and summarize information.
Effective interpersonal skills, including flexibility, tact and
courtesy.
Ability to deal calmly, courteously and effectively with people.
Demonstrated effective and clear written communication skills.
Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure.
Demonstrated computer skills including:
Basic word processing (MS Word);
Intermediate spreadsheets (MS Excel);
Email (Lotus notes). |
