Purpose:
The Schulich Executive Education Centre (SEEC) is a strategic business unit (SBU) at the Schulich School of Business. It is an operation that is self-sustaining. SEEC designs and develops management training offerings for demanding clientele in the middle to senior manager / executive positions in the private sector, public sector, NGOs. Reporting to the Executive Director, SEEC the Associate Director, Operations & Short Programs is responsible for the management of 150+ SEEC Open Enrolment Programs annually, and to increase the SEEC Open Enrolment each year which involves: • Speaker Engagement and Management (300+), • Speaker Contract Preparation, • Curriculum Review, • Program Scheduling, • Marketing, Communication and Brand Management, • Materials Preparation, • Expense and Budget Management, • Program Development and Revenue Generation, In addition responsibilities include: • Full management responsibility for a team of 5 unionized staff, • SEEC Human Resources designate, • SEEC Health & Safety Representative, • SEEC Management Representative on ELC Operating Committee, • Oversight of contracted vendors including advertising agencies, mailing houses, list brokers.
 
Education:
University Degree, MBA or Masters in Adult Education preferred.
 
Experience:
10 years+ of senior relevant work experience, preferably in a unionized work environment as well as in an education and/or training work environment (and includes 5 years of direct People Management experience). Proven sales and curriculum development oversight experience is required. Several years’ experience developing and managing budgets and costing programs for delivery is also required.
