Purpose:

PLEASE NOTE: This a Temporary Contract.

To provide accurate and current bilingual information to the general public and to the York community about the Glendon Athletic Club programs, services and facilities. Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Membership Office at the Glendon Athletic Club.
 
Education:
High school Diploma or equivalent. CPR at the Basic Rescuer level and Emergency First-Aid required.
 
Experience:
One year related work experience (reception) in a front-line service environment. Previous experience in an athletic/recreation environment preferred.
 
Skills:
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in both French and English; strong interpersonal skills; tact and diplomacy essential; demonstrated ability to deal courteously and effectively with people and to obtain and provide information in a clear and concise manner; ability to work well under pressure; demonstrated effectiveness in working as a member of a team; pleasant telephone manner; micro-computing skills at intermediate level essential; Bilingual Module I (advanced) and III (intermediate).
