Purpose:

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS PART-TIME LIMITED TERM CONTRACT -24.5 HOURS PER WEEK. The CERIS Director will be responsible for the leadership and management of CERIS in fulfilling its goals and mandate, according to the research priorities and strategic direction set by the Management Board ("the Board"). The CERIS Director will lead all CERIS operations and activities, including: the development of networks of researchers, community-based organizations, government and other partners, the promotion of research collaboration among the Centre's key stakeholders, knowledge exchange and mobilization activities, and staff and financial resources management.
 
Education:
A graduate degree in social sciences or a related field of study required. A doctoral degree preferred but not a requirement.
 
Experience:
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in the field of immigration research. Experience leading large, collaborative research projects or other collaborative partnerships, with multiple stakeholders and networks. Experience in organizational and resource development including project/program fundraising. Experience managing human resources, budgets and financial planning and administration. Experience in immigration-related fields and with related government agencies, non-governmental organizations and/or foundations would be an asset. Training and/or previous experience in knowledge mobilization would be an asset.
