Purpose:
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Manager, Program & Event Services is responsible for effective management, administration and coordination of the day-to-day operations at OPD, including CLE events, LLM classes, third party room rentals, facility maintenance, video conferencing and web-casting. In conjunction with the Associate Director, implements changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of operations and provides direction and leadership in the development of policies and processes that promotes service excellence and improves public relations.
 
Education:
University degree in a business related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
 
Experience:
3 - 5 years managerial experience in facilities, business operations, web-casting, video conferencing, projects, events and program management.
 
Skills:
Demonstrated skills and ability in initiating, implementing, coordinating and monitoring a wide variety of complex projects, both short-term and long-term. Ability to assess problem situations, recognize issues and use good judgment to devise creative solutions. Ability to provide a consistently high level of service to clients and faculty. Sound knowledge and commitment to healthy and safe work practices. Work well under pressure of high volume and respond effectively to changing priorities. Proven good judgment, innovative and takes initiative. Strong leadership and motivational skills. Excellent managerial and supervisory skills. Ability to work independently, in a team environment and a team player. Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, tact and diplomacy in a highly confidential professional setting.
