Purpose:
Osgoode Professional Development (OsgoodePD) is a revenue-generating unit with legal educational offerings targeted to mid-career professionals. Reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing and Enrolment Management, this position is an integral part of the Marketing team supporting OsgoodePD’s digital presence for Continuing Legal Education (CLE), Master of Laws (LLM) and International programs. This position will be responsible for three main areas: i) website maintenance and analytics; ii) project coordination of content creation, production and distribution to different channels; and iii) social media engagement. This position ensures that digital content is of high quality, targeted to legal and professional audiences, and meets the OsgoodePD and York marketing guidelines.
 
Education:
Community College diploma in business or marketing.
 
Experience:
Minimum 2 of years of recent related experience in marketing and communications, including experience in website maintenance and experience producing content across a range of social and digital media for marketing purposes. Previous Search Engine Optimization and Paid Search experience is required. Previous database or CRM experience is required. Previous experience in the legal industry or with legal content is an asset.
 
Skills:
Demonstrated skills/abilities in the following areas: Advanced proficiency working with specialized digital media software such as Adobe Pro, Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator for producing/editing content, and WordPress and HTML for editing design and content of the website; CSS or coding experience is an asset. Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to gather information and provide stats and reports. Experience working with a database or CRM system. Intermediate proficiency in the following computer applications: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Excellent writing skills as it relates to drafting and editing copy; excellent verbal communication skills in dealing with individual inquiries and group settings including online discussions; strong attention to detail; creative thinking and marketing skills; exercise good judgment; demonstrated initiative. Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative; good organizational and record keeping skills; ability to work effectively under pressure of demands and deadlines; ability to prioritize task and meet deadlines; punctuality and reliability.
