| Purpose: The Theatre Facilities Assistant, provides general facilities support to the faculty and students in the Theatre production. This includes supporting the safe operation of Theatre facilities, coordinating and / or completing preventative maintenance activities; communicating with others to obtain information on safety protocols and placing orders. |

| Education: High School Diploma. |

| Experience: 2 years related experience. Experience working in a teaching environment would be considered an asset. Having participated in a trade apprenticeship program would be considered an asset. Having worked in a technical capacity in a theatre production environment would also be considered an asset. |

| Skills: Demonstrated skills including: Ability to work independently and set priorities. Ability to inspect and clean shop equipment. Ability to accurately interpret safety procedures and recognize infractions. Effective interpersonal skills, including flexibility, tact and courtesy. Ability to exercise good judgment and initiative. Ability to deal calmly, courteously and effectively with people. Good written communication skills. Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure. Demonstrated computer skills including: Email (lotus notes). Basic Spreadsheets (MS Excel). |
