| Purpose: PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A TEMPORARY CONTRACT. The purpose of this position is to provide timely, efficient and courteous service to students, faculty members and the public by providing information about the Film Department’s programs, events and services and by attending to a variety of administrative tasks. |

| Education: Secondary school diploma plus related post-secondary training or equivalent. |
||||||||
| Experience: 1-2 years' related experience in a student service or related service environment (e.g. handling a range of enquiries in an academic or student services area), in a post-secondary environment an asset. |

| Skills: Demonstrated Skills including: Intermediate word-processing (e.g. macros, tables, mail merge, document layout, etc.) . Basic computerized spreadsheet skills (Excel) in a Windows environment. Knowledge of electronic mail. knowledge of an on-line records system, including data entry and retrieval. Demonstrated Technical Skills including: Excellent oral communication skills to obtain and provide accurate information clearly and concisely both in-person and over the telephone in a busy front-line environment. Effective interpersonal skills including active listening. Effective customer service skills. Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with others. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Good written communication skills. Abiltiy to attend accurately to detail. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently, set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively under pressure of high volume and frequent interruptions. Ability to exercise good judgment and initiative. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team . |
