The Schulich Executive Education Centre (SEEC) is a strategic business unit (SBU) at the Schulich School of Business. It is an operation that is self-sustaining. SEEC designs and develops management training offerings for demanding clientele in the middle to senior manager / executive positions in the private sector, public sector, NGOs. Reporting to the Executive Director, SEEC the Associate Director, Operations & Short Programs is responsible for the management of 150+ SEEC Open Enrolment Programs annually, and to increase the SEEC Open Enrolment each year which involves: Speaker Engagement and Management (300+), Speaker Contract Preparation, Curriculum Review, Program Scheduling, Marketing, Communication and Brand Management, Materials Preparation, Expense and Budget Management, Program Development and Revenue Generation, In addition responsibilities include: Full management responsibility for a team of 5 unionized staff, SEEC Human Resources designate, SEEC Health & Safety Representative, SEEC Management Representative on ELC Operating Committee, Oversight of contracted vendors including advertising agencies, mailing houses, list brokers.
University Degree, MBA or Masters in Adult Education preferred.
10 years+ of senior relevant work experience, preferably in a unionized work environment as well as in an education and/or training work environment (and includes 5 years of direct People Management experience). Proven sales and curriculum development oversight experience is required. Several years experience developing and managing budgets and costing programs for delivery is also required.
