|Position Title: Project Coordinator, Development|

The purpose of this job is to support, under the direction of the Associate Director, Development, two key development programs: 1) Annual Giving; 2) Stewardship and Donor Relations. In addition, the Project Coordinator, Development will participate in the development of administrative and operational procedures specific to each program and offer general fundraising support and assistance related to major gift, gift planning and sponsorship activities undertaken by the Associate Director, Development, the Executive Director, Development and Alumni Relations, and the Dean, Schulich School of Business.
A university degree (Business preferred); or equivalent education and related experience such as completion of a college-level program in fundraising with 1 year of related experience in addition to the minimum years of relevant work experience listed below.
A minimum of 2 years experience in fundraising (experience in an educational setting is preferred). Experience in annual giving or direct marketing campaigns and/or stewardship/donor relations in the charitable sector will be considered an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with volunteers. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Tact, courtesy and discretion. Ability to coordinate projects and to analyze fundraising results. Experience working with mailing houses, designers and copy writers. Experience working with budgets. Computer skills: Intermediate level in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Basic Level in Adobe. Basic familiarity with website maintenance and/or design. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Professional and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of individuals (administration, staff, alumni, prospects, donors, volunteers and students). Proven ability to interact effectively and communicate with a variety of internal and external clients. Ability to multi-task with a proven ability to meet goals. Knowledge of fundraising, public relations and/or marketing principles and techniques. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to establish and meet deadlines. Exceptional time-management and problem solving skills with the ability to balance competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
