|WEATHER EMERGENCY DECLARED - UNIVERSITY CLOSURE - MARCH 12, 2014 Please be advised that effective 2:30pm this afternoon, the University will suspend its operations, including all scheduled classes. Transportation Services has adjusted Shuttle Schedules accordingly, please see below the changes for this evening. GO Train Shuttles - all trains will be met by the shuttles Glendon-Keele Shuttle - will suspend operations, the last departure from the Keele Campus will be at 3:30 p.m. and the last departure from the Glendon Campus will be at 3:15 p.m. Village Express - will operate on weekend schedule link: http://gosafe.info.yorku.ca/shuttle-service/village-shuttle-schedules-current/ Village East & Village West - cancelled Public Transit Services Brampton Transit, GO Transit, TTC and York Region Transit will continue to operate; however, they are experiencing delays across the system due to traffic and weather conditions. A decision to declare a weather emergency shall normally be made:
- by 5:30 a.m., for suspension of daytime operations and cancellation/postponement of daytime classes, exams and activities (with locations/campuses affected);
- before 5:00 p.m., for suspension of evening operations and cancellation/postponement of evening classes, exams and activities (with locations/campus affected)
- by 9:00 p.m., for suspension of night-time operations (with locations/campuses affected)
Once the day’s operations, classes, exams and activities have commenced, a weather emergency may be declared at any time, should conditions necessitate it.
