The School of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University, invites applications for a tenure-track professorial stream appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July 1, 2020. The successful applicant will have the ability to teach a variety of courses related to Human Resource Management (HRM) at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.

The successful candidate will have a completed PhD in HRM or a related discipline by the time of appointment (July 1, 2020), and will demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in scholarly research and teaching. The School of Human Resource Management seeks candidates with areas of specialization that complement the teaching and research needs of the School ( http:// http://shrm.laps.yorku.ca/) including but not limited to HRM, Diversity & Inclusion, and Industrial Relations. Applicants should have the breadth and versatility to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in the School. In addition, the successful candidate will be prepared to participate in the Graduate Program in the School of Human Resource Management and be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is preferred.

The School of Human Resource Management is a national leader in human resource management and the study of work. In 2018 and 2019, it was voted the top Canadian educational institution in the Readers' Choice Awards presented by Canadian HR Reporter for its innovative BHRM program, its executive Masters of HRM, its HRM Certificate, and its PhD program. With over 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students, the School of Human Resource Management is the largest university unit in the field in Canada. The successful candidate's teaching, research and expertise will complement the School's multi-disciplinary faculty.
